The Malingering of Psychotic Disorders

چکیده

The phenomenon if malingered psychosis is examined through a review if the available literature. Possible motivations fi r malingering are discussed, and clinical indicators if'feigned psychotic symptoms are reviewed. The methods discussed ficus on the inpatient evaluation if suspected malingerers and include discussions if interview techniques and psychometric testing to supplement clinical impressions. A differential diagnosis is presented, and techniquesfor confronting a malingeringpatient are reviewed.
